Due to demand for places at Bald Hills State School an Enrolment Management Plan is in place. Students who reside in the school's catchment area can enrol at Bald Hills State School.

Students who reside outside the school's local catchment boundary can apply for enrolment at the school and will be put on a waiting list in order of receipt of application. Where there is spare capacity, students will be enrolled from the waiting list based on the following criteria and order of priority:

  • Siblings of students already enrolled.
  • Children and young people who are subject to child protection orders that grant guardianship or custody to the Chief Executive Officer of the Department of Child Safety.
  • Students whose parent or legal guardian is employed by the school.
  • Siblings of students who have left the school and reside outside of the local catchment boundary.
  • Any remaining students residing outside the catchment area.
  • Students who reside within the enrolment boundary and who officially leave the school will be considered for re-admission in accordance with the enrolment criteria.

Age Requirements

To be eligible to attend the prep year, children will need to turn 5 by the 30th of June in the year they start prep.

The school office takes enrolment applications for prep at the start of the semester the year prior to commencing at school (July). Generally parents will be advised by November the outcome of their application although places can be made on a rolling basis up to the commencement of the school year.
