Without doubt the pickup times around schools are a busy and often frustrating time. To ensure the safety of our students it is important that parents, staff and visitors to our school not only abide by the road rules in a school zone, but also role model the correct behaviours in and around the school. Two particular areas of concern are:
1. The Two Minute Zone (Drop, Kiss, Go) - Cars either are spending more than two minutes in the zone, parents chatting to others in cars or people leaving their vehicle in the zone and walking into the school
2. Parents walking their child across the Ana Street between cars below the dedicated crossing area.
We appreciate your support in these matters.
It is also timely to remind parents that we have approximately 50 new families in our school. Should you witness someone doing the wrong thing, take the time to politely inform them of the expectations in the pickup areas. Sometimes they are just unaware.
