Welcome to 2023. Each student from Prep to Year 6 will participate in one forty-minute physical education lesson each week. Students (excluding Prep) will need to wear their school sports uniforms on their PE day. They will also need to bring their hats and water bottles. There will be many lessons held outside. Term 1 culminates with the running of the school cross country scheduled for the 24th March, 2023. All students will do preparations for this event during PE lessons. Please refer to the upcoming curriculum newsletter for further information about what the students will be learning about in physical education lessons. Just a friendly reminder that PE is part of the school reporting curriculum and is compulsory. Should there be a valid reason why your child cannot participate for any lesson would you please provide a letter.
Bramble Bay Swimming is the first event in the district calendar. It will be held on Friday 10th February 2023 at Lawnton Aquatic Centre. Students who have qualified (from Bald Hills State School Swimming Carnival in December 2022) will be given district forms that need to be retuned to the school office ASAP. Students will be presented with their Bald Hills State School swimming team cap on assembly before the carnival. If you need any more additional information regarding this event please email Mr Green at tgree118@eq.edu.au.
Throughout the year Bramble Bay District Sport offers students the opportunity for selection in district sporting teams. A list of sports, dates and more information can be found on the Bramble Bay School Sports website. The majority of these team are for students up to 12 years (Born 2011) and it is only recommended for students with high skill levels and previous experience in the chosen sport. The opportunity to nominate and information packs for each sport will be displayed on assembly when the school receives them.
Thanks
